Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Requirements for Systems
Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Requirements for Systems
Scope
This standard establishes electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) interface requirements and verification criteria for airborne, sea, space, and ground systems, including associated ordnance.
Notes
Claudia's Notes:
The original release of this standard in 1997 replaced MIL-STD-1818, MIL-E-6051, MIL-B-5087 and MIL-STD-1385. The current edition, MIL-STD-464C, is applicable for complete systems, both new and modified.
Requirements and verification approaches may be tailored based on engineering justification derived from the system’s operational requirements and engineering analysis. Design techniques used to protect equipment against EMI effects shall be verifiable, maintainable, and effective over the rated lifecycle of the system.
Changes from MIL-STD-464B are extensive, so black lines in the margins were not used.
