Abstract

This Standard establishes the essential requirements and reference documents applicable to the preparation and revision of engineering drawings and associated lists. It is essential that this Standard be used in close conjunction with ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34M, and ASME Y14.35M.

The current edition of ASME Y14.100 is a replacement of ASME Y14.100-2000 and ASME-Y14.100M-1998.

Notes

Claudia's Notes:
The appendices for this standard have provided the information needed for it to replaced MIL-STD-100 (now obsolete).  You can also use ASME Y14.100 when preparing Technical Data Packages (TDPs) under MIL-STD-31000 (formerly MIL-DTL-31000).

Contents include an extensive References section, as well as Chapters on Definitions, General Drawing Practices, Drawing Titles, Numbering, Coding, and Identification, and Markings on Drawings.
