Standard Test Methods for Scavenger Content of Askarels (Withdrawn 2000)

Scope

1.1 These test methods cover the determination of the amount of an additive, either tin tetraphenyl or phenoxypropene oxide, (1,2-epoxy-3-phenoxypropane) or dicyclodiepoxy carboxylate (3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3,4-epoxycyclohexane-carboxylate), present in askarels as a scavenger for arc-formed gases. Separate procedures are described for each scavenger.

1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
