Scope
1.1 This test method covers determination of the corrosive effects of water-soluble aluminum cleaners (nonetching type) on aluminum or aluminum alloys, under conditions of total immersion, by quantitative measurement of weight change or by qualitative visual determination of change. The test is designed for the determination of corrosion characteristics of the cleaner and not for determination of the life of the cleaner.
1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
