Scope

This specification covers temperature-resistant -65 Deg. F to +250 Deg. F (-54 Deg. C to +121 Deg. C), two component synthetic rubber compounds of the polysulfide type for sealing and repairing integral fuel tanks and fuel cell cavities.

This MIL Spec was handed over to an industry association in the late 1990's, where it was republished as AMS-S-8802.  The replacement document is still current, but has been revised a number of times since adoption.
