Configuration Control - Engineering Changes (Short Form), Deviations and Waivers (Superseded by MIL-STD-973)

Scope

This standard establishes requirements, formats and procedures for the preparation, submission and approval or disapproval of engineering change proposals (ECPs), utilizing DD Form 1693, and requests for deviations and waivers utilizing DD Form 1694.

Another popular standard that has been cancelled.  The replacement standard, MIL-STD-973, has also been cancelled.  Currently, the correct document for configuration control is EIA-649 (ANSI/EIA-649 Revision B).
