Insulation Requirements for U.S. Naval Vessels
The purpose of this standard is to prescribe the requirements for thermal insulation of piping, machinery, uptakes and mechanical equipment for ships of the U.S. Navy.
You may notice that the cover of MIL-STD-769 was changed because the standard was redesignated as a Design Criteria Standard. The change was purely administrative in nature, having no impact on the content of the document at all.
