This part of ISO 9250 presents alist of equivalent general terms in English, French, Russian andChinese related to earth-moving machinery, these terms beingthoroughly defined in other existing International Standards. Its purpose is to - facilitate the exchange ofinformation in the field ofearth-moving machinery,worldwide, and in particular by ensuring correct andconsistant communicationbetween users, - clarify the information flowamong professionals (sales,after-sales service, engin-eering, spare-parts distri-bution, etc.), - simplify customs operationsand statistical surveys, and - make possible translation intothe main languages used inthe different markets. The terms are presented inalphabetical order, numbered, together with the reference number of the International Standard in which each of the terms is defined.NOTE In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this document gives the equivalent terms in Chinese; these are published under the responsibility of the member body for China, SAC, and are given for information only. Only the terms and definitions given in the official languages can be considered as ISO terms and definitions.
