This document defines a protocol for status checking of Identification documents, for example ID-cards and passports. The purpose for this document is for high security transactions, such as creating a new account in a bank or issuing a digital identity. The document does not include: — the business model, — the actual revocation of ID-cards, — a formal threat analysis, — security of the receiving and sending computer systems, — security of intermediary systems such as DNS.
