This standard specifies methods for the determination of the sticking temperature of ash from gas turbine fuels. The purpose of determining the sticking temperature is to provide information on the risk of getting high temperature corrosion of gas turbine components. The data provided by the test procedure can also be used to calculate the ash content of the fuel sample at 525 °C.
