Scope
1.1 This specification covers high-strength, high-conductivity round copper-alloy wire 0.0031 to 0.0720 in. (0.079 to
1.829 mm) in diameter, used for electronic hookup wire. The tensile strength of the wire is 60 ksi (414 MPa) minimum and the electrical conductivity at 20°C is 85% IACS minimum.
1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
