Standard Test Method for Absorption of Architectural Cast Stone
ORDER

Scope

1.1 This test method covers the sampling, preparation of specimens, and determination of the absorption of architectural cast stone.

1.2 This test method describes two procedures: ( ) cold water and ( ) boiling water. The user of the test method should stipulate which is desired. If no stipulation is made, the cold water procedure will be used.

1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.

1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are provided for information only.
