This specification covers the different types of passivation treatments as well as recommendations, guidance and precautions for cleaning and descaling corrosion-resistant parts, components, equipment and systems.

Claudia's Notes:
Many of the QQ series of Federal Specifications are withdrawn now, and QQ-P-35 is no exception.  It was replaced by AMS-QQ-P-35, an industry adoption of the original Fed Spec, and ASTM-F967.

After a time, the AMS-QQ-P-35 was retired and replaced by the widely-used AMS-2700.
